It's a small world

  • CONCEPTThe idea behind the T-shirt was to show a world without divisions, a place where different religions, cultures and physical appearances don't create separation between people but bring them closer together. Using minimalist strong image and worm colors, I tried to send the message that if we all learn to accept and appreciate other people's uniqueness, we will realize how similar we actually are.

In their movement they create an abstract pattern - it could even be a type of ancient message the picture is telling. Judges 2007

The prominent artists review the works in the screening. In addition, the artists who serve as the judge will also participate in the collaboration T-shirt project.

Yoshitaka Amano(Artist Painter)

Born 1952, in Shizuoka. Artist, Painter. After working for an animation company, he worked freelance. He released a lot fantasy paintings in magazines and picture books, receiving heavy attention from publishing. Plays widely an active part as artists such as painter, illustrator, and theatrical artist. Particularly, the character design of 'Final Fantasy', which he created, is well known. His delicate and fantastic touch is also very popular in Europe. He starts one-man exhibition one after another, also he was honored many prize all over the world including The Hugo Awards and Jury Awards.

Visual Artist. A pioneer in the European graffiti scene since 1983. Works primarily in the field of graffiti painting. Lives on as a legacy of street culture-an emblem and creative inspiration for many across the world. His current portfolio stretches across experiments on canvas, murals, collage, print, sculpture, motion graphics and product design. He lives and works in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Born in 1958 in Gifu City. Graduated from the Graduate School of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts & Music, where his cardboard box work first get the public's attention. Since then, he held numerous personal and group exhibitions both inside and outside Japan and is actively involved in a wide range of art fields, including stage art and public art.
This year,"Katsuhiko Hibino Art Project 'Home->And<-Away' Method" is currently being held at 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, while"Katsuhiko Hibino Exhibition 'Hibi-no-Tabi-ni-deru (Taking a Daily Trip)' and a personal exhibition,"HIGO BY HIBINO" are to be held later this year at Kirishima Open-Air Museum in Kagoshima Pref. and at Contemporary Art Museum Kumamoto, respectively.

Born 1954, in Yokohama. Architect. Completed the Master Course, Department of Architecture, Graduate School of Engineering, University of Tokyo. After visiting Scholar Graduate School, Columbia University and Asian Cultural Council, established Kengo Kuma & Associates. Appointed as Professor at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Keio University since 2001. Awarded Architectural Institute of Japan Award for "Noh Stage in the Forest" in 1997. Awarded Spirit of Nature Wood Architecture Award, Finland, in 2002 for his nature wood architecture including "Bato-machi Hiroshige Museum".

Yayoi Kusama(Avant-garde Artist, Novelist)

Born 1929, in Nagano. Avant-garde artist, Novelist. Started producing illusory paintings consisting of dots and nets since childhood. Moved to the U.S.A by herself in 1957, where her creative work gave shock waves through art circles and established her status as an avant-gardearlist. Keep holding exhibitions all over the world after coming back to Japan in 1973. Also released a lot of novels and poetical works. Awarded numerous prizes both in Japan and overseas, for example the 18th Praemium Imperial.

A photographer born in Osaka in 1938, Moriyama's willingness to challenge preexisting notions has resulted in the creation an incomparable body of work. He is by common agreement one of the most important photographers to come out of Japan and his distinctive style has influenced artists in a wide range of fields. Exhibitions of his works have been held around the world and collections of his works have been widely published.

Sarah is the buyer and art director of the Parisian concept store, 'colette', defined by four sub-headings 'style', 'design', 'art' and 'food'. 'colette' has subsequently become much more than a shop. The store is spread over three floors and stocks an eclectic selection of cosmetics, books & music, toys, as well as clothing by famous fashion brands like LANVIN and PRADA, and by emerging designers for men & women, in which there are nothing against her eye for beauty. She is branching out into exhibitions, events and collaborative projects worldwide, which always come into fashion.

Kashiwa Sato(Art Director)

Born 1965, in Tokyo. Art director, Creative director. Completed Tama Art University. His creative works, produced by his unique viewpoint and visual communication, work in a wide range of fields and are highly evaluated. He has been involved with CI, advertising, spatial design, and product development activities for among others, Honda STEPWGN, the SMAP music group, Kirin Goku-Nama beer, Tsutaya Tokyo Roppongi store, Rakuten, and Fast Retailing.

Wim Wenders(Film Director)

Born in Dusseldorf, Germany in 1945. One of the most influential figures of the New German Cinema in the 70's. His films, including The American Friend (1978), Paris, Texas (1984), Wings of Desire (1987) and Buena Vista Social Club (1999), have won numerous prestigious awards and critical acclaim.His photographic exhibition, Pictures from the Surface of the Earth, has toured around the world since 2001. He has also published numerous books.He lives in Los Angels and Berlin with his photographer Donata Wenders <http://www.wim-wenders.com/bio/wim_wenders_bio.htm>. He is President of the European Film Academy, and was awarded the Order Pour le Menrite.
