TADAO ANDO 安藤忠雄　建築家、東京大学名誉教授。独学で建築を学び、1969年安藤忠雄建築研究所設立。環境との関わりの中で新しい建築のありかたを提案し続けている。
代表作に「光の教会」「淡路夢舞台」など。瀬戸内海の緑化活動基金「瀬戸内オリーブ基金」の呼びかけ人も務める。
Architect and honorary professor at the University of Tokyo.
Self-educated in architecture, he established Tadao Ando Architect & Associates in 1969. He continues to propose new forms of architecture in relation to the environment. His major projects include “Church of the Lights” and “Awaji Yumebutai.” He is also a founder of the Setouchi Olive Foundation, dedicated to restoring the environment of the Seto Inland Sea.

UNHCR YOUTH　2007年に発足。UNHCR駐日事務所と学生が協力し合うことで、学生独自の柔軟な発想を難民支援に生かし、「普段着の難民支援」を行うことを目標としている。「知る」「行動する」「伝える」という3つの理念を掲げ、企業・大学と連携した難民支援活動を行う。　UNHCR Youth was launched in 2007 as a cooperative venture between the Japan Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and students. The initiative aims to put into action the students’ unique and creative ideas for helping refugees, and carry out “casual refugee support.” Guided by three core principles of “find out,” “act,” and “spread the message,” UNHCR Youth is engaged in refugee support activities in partnership with corporations and universities.

commmons　「commmons（コモンズ）」とは坂本龍一が中心となり、アーティストたちが音楽の新たな可能性を模索すべく、エイベックスグループとともに設立した新プロジェクトです。「think global, act local」を合い言葉に、社会・文化貢献を目指す新しい音楽コミュニティーとして、アーティスト/クリエイター、音楽産業、ユーザー/リスナーのよりよい関係を作るための「共有地（commons）」となることを目的としています。また、全商品のカーボンオフセット化を実施している日本唯一のグリーン・レーベルです。　‘commmons’ is a new project established by Ryuichi Sakamoto in collaboration with the Avex Group to find new possibilities for music. “Think global, act local” as their motto, commmons’ goal is to create a ‘common ground,’ a place where new relationships can be built between the music industry, the audience, artists and creators. ‘commmons’ is one and the only green label in Japan implementing carbon offsetting schemes for all of their products.

There are people in the world who made it as refugees to different places in order to escape the oppression in their own country, but many still are not liberated from oppression or discrimination. She is renowned for her text-only work that features words that resound with love and laughter. She has been involved in a variety of unique projects. These include creating “Love Fortune” lots at the Nunose Shrine in Osaka, installations such as “Hopscotch” and “Block of Words,” and a project at a UK shopping center to distribute paper bags displaying the words “I’ll shoplift.”

KAZUMASA ODA 小田和正　シンガーソングライター。1969年、オフコース結成。「さよなら」などのヒット曲をたて続けに発表、人気を不動のものにする。解散後、ソロ活動を開始、数々のミリオンヒットを放っている。1979年発表の「生まれ来る子供たちのために」は現在UNHCR応援ソングとなっている。　Singer-songwriter
He formed Off Course in 1969, and established rock-solid popularity with a string of hits, including “Sayonara.” After the break-up of Off Course, he embarked on a solo career, and has released numerous top-selling hits. “Umare-kuru Kodomo-tachi no Tame ni,” released in 1979, is currently used as the support song for UNHCR.

僕とUNHCRとの縁は、遡ることもう10年も前のことになります。

UNHCRの”次の世代に、難民問題とその解決に思いを馳せて欲しい”という願いから、僕の作った「生まれ来る子供たちのために」(１９７９年発表)という楽曲が、1999年から応援ソングとして使用されることになりました。この曲がUNHCR の活動に少しでも役に立っているのならばとても嬉しく思います。

次の世代のために僕にできることは限られていますが、継続して向き合っていきたいと思っています。

Relationship between UNHCR and I have continued for a decade. Since 1999, my song "Umarekuru Kodomotachi no Tameni (For children to be born)" released in 1979 has been used as a cheering song for UNHCR in line with UNHCR’s wish for the next generation to focus on refugee problem and the solution for it. I am happy if this song has contributed even a little to the activity of UNHCR. Although what I can do for the next generation is limited, I would like to continue to address the task.小田和正

Debuted while still attending university as the campaign girl for Toray Industries, Inc. Since then, she has appeared in a wide variety of films, dramas and commercials. She currently works as a newscaster in “Bankisha!” aired on NTV. In 2005, she was appointed special supporter of UNHCR and has carried out publicity activities for UNHCR Japan, including visits to refugee camps.

YAYOI KUSAMA 草間彌生　前衛芸術家、小説家。幼少より水玉と網目を用いた幻想的な絵画を制作。1957年、単身渡米。創造的な作品・活動はアート界に衝撃を与え、前衛芸術家としての地位を築く。第18回高松宮殿下記念世界文化賞など国内外で受賞歴多数。　Avant-garde artist and novelist. Started producing illusory paintings consisting of dots and nets since childhood. Moved to United States where her creative work gave shock waves through art circles and established her status as an avant-garde artist. Awarded numerous prizes both in Japan and overseas, including the prestigious 18th Praemium Imperiale. A documentary film, “ (Near Equal) Yayoi Kusama, I adore myself” was released in 2008.

ZARNY SHIBUYA 渋谷ザニー　ファッションデザイナー。1985年ミャンマーに生まれる。1993年迫害を逃れて来日。モデルとして活動後、デザイナーに転身、ドラマの衣装やステージ衣装、レーシングチームのユニフォームデザインを手掛け、現在複数のブランドでデザイナーとして活躍中。2008年自らが難民であることを告白し、アパレル企業の協力を得てUNHCRへの基金活動を開始する。Fashion designer. Born in Myanmar in 1985. He came to Japan in 1993, fled
from persecution in his home country. After a successful career as a model, he switched to fashion design, producing everything from stage and TV costumes to uniforms for a racing team. He is currently designing for several well-known clothes brands. In 2008, Zarny "came out" publicly as a refugee and, with the cooperation of the fashion industry, launched a fundraising campaign for UNHCR.

「人すべてが愛する人と共に、今を生きることが共通の幸せ」だということに気づいていただきたく、愛する人への伝える「愛」の象徴としてテディベアというアイコンを描きました。
家族、恋人、兄弟、友情、すべての離ればなれとなった「愛」がどうか、ひとつに結ばれますように、「愛」を引き裂く障害のない社会がどうか、訪れますように希望を抱き、今を私たちは生きていくのです。

I drew the teddy bear as a symbol of love, and of the happiness that comes from living with those you love. Let us hope that social barriers will be broken down, and everyone who is separated from the love of their families, lovers, siblings and friends will one day be reunited.
